What really
died at Auschwitz ?
Here's an
interesting viewpoint:
The following is a copy of an article written by
Spanish writer Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez and published in a Spanish newspaper on
Jan. 15 2011. It doesn't take much imagination to extrapolate the message to the
rest of Europe - and possibly to the rest of the world.
THIS WAS IN A
SPANISH NEWSPAPER: "EUROPEAN LIFE DIED
IN AUSCHWITZ" By Sebastian Vilar
Rodrigez
"I walked down the
street in Barcelona and suddenly discovered a terrible truth - Europe died in
Auschwitz ... We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million
Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, talent. We
destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and
wonderful people who changed the world.
The contribution of
this people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international trade, and
above all, as the conscience of the world.
These are the
people we burned.
And under the
pretense of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were
cured of the disease of racism, we opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who
brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance,
crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness to work and support their families
with pride.
They have blown up
our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world,
drowning in filth and crime. Shut up in the apartments they receive free from
the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive
hosts.
And thus, in our
misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred, creative skill for
destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness and superstition. We have
exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their talent for a
better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life
is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death
for themselves and others, for our children and theirs.
What a terrible
mistake was made by miserable Europe .
A lot of Americans
have become so insulated from reality that they imagine America can suffer
defeat without any inconvenience to themselves. Recently, the UK debated whether
to remove The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it 'offends' the
Muslim population which claims it never occurred. It is not removed as yet.
However, this is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world
and how easily each country is giving in to it.
It is now more than
sixty years after the Second World War in Europe ended. This e-mail is being
sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, twenty million
Russians, ten million Christians, and nineteen-hundred Catholic priests who were
'murdered, raped, burned, starved, beaten, experimented on and humiliated.' Now,
more than ever, with Iran , among others, claiming the Holocaust to be 'a myth,'
it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets.
This e-mail is
intended to reach 400 million people. Be a link in the memorial chain and help
distribute this around the world.
How many years will
it be before the attack on the World Trade Center 'NEVER HAPPENED' because it
offends some Muslim in the United States ? If our Judeo-Christian heritage is
offensive to Muslims, they should pack up and move to Iran , Iraq or some other
Muslim country.

We have been hijacked by TV commercials! Do you feel that these days a half hour show is now only 14 minutes of content and 16 minutes of adverts?
The adverts have become so invasive it makes one believe that corporate greed is alive and well and living in TV-land. Which brings me to wonder whether directors and producers of shows are told to have only the 14 minute content and make sure that the plot fits in to the time allotted.
Which brings me also to my next pet peeve. Medical advertising! It makes no sense to me to advertise a drug that can only be obtained with a prescription by a doctor. Nobody goes to the pharmacy and asks "Give me 30 Lipitor. I think I'll try those today".
Nobody goes to their doctor and says "Give me some of those blah-blah pills that are advertised". Never mind that most the pills today can kill you!
I think that flighting ads for Cialis and Viagra during prime time TV or sports programs is so inappropriate. I don't want to have to tell my kids about the advantages of taking those pills. The amount of sexual content in shows does nothing to the quality of the show. An example of the worst show is Two and a Half Men. Again, the time slot is totally inappropriate. It should be a midnight show like the German porn shows! Two Broke Girls started off so great, but has dipped into crude and stupid now. My opinion!!
Hey, I love TV. I have no problem with sexual content. But when it knocks you over the head when kids are watching...... it's a problem for me. How about you?

Finally, here is an exhibition of the marvellous puppets made by my mother, Sylvia Natas.
The book is available to buy, and $5 for every book and $1 for every e-book will be donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. However, you can view it freely at http://www.baobabinc.com/puppets.html
Feel free to look at the entire book and I hope that you will be as entranced by them as I continue to be every day that I look at them.

It's going to be hot today
It's going to be a hot one today. The temperature is expected to be one hundred degrees. Last night's thunderstorm washed the streets clean and the blue cornflowers are sparkling in the light breeze. The Queen Anne Lace are waving their slender heads, ever so elegant. The stubby yellow dandelions are pushing through the ground, eager to discharge their fluffy heads.
What am I thinking? Dandelions, pollen, ALLERGIES! Sneezing and snorting and loads of antihistamine....
The only thing that makes me grateful is my Mulberry Silk Duvet. It is hypoallergenic, so that I sleep like a baby at night and it keeps me cool and comfortable and allergy free.
It is also Bug repellent - Dust mites and Bugs are deprived of the moist environment they require for their survival. And most importantly, at my age, Silk has been shown to possess 18 types of naturally occurring compounds that are believed to promote positive health care functions:
- soothes the nerves
- nourishes the skin
- rejuvenates the skin
I have also found a great source for 1500 thread Egyptian Cotton Bed Linen. You can have luxury and hard wearing linen in one at a great reasonable price . It's like slipping into a spa, it makes you feel so good.
I love night time!!
