Rooibos Tea Extravaganza

Rooibos Tea, or commonly known in the USA as Redbush tea,
has been consumed in South Africa for generations.

Rooibos Tea is a natural caffeiene-free tea made from the Rooibos shrub which grows exclusively on the Cedarberg Mountains of South Africa. The green, needle-like leaves of the plant are cut and left to dry in the hot African sun. They turn a beautiful mahogany red color, thus giving the name, REDBUSH. Rooibos is the local South African Afrikaans translation of Redbush.

The tea is harvested at the fields, and there are many companies that package the tea under their own labels. ANNIQUE uses only the tips of the leaves for the freshest and tastiest blends.

Dr. Annique Theron discovered the calming and soothing properties of ROOIBOS TEA when she warmed her daughter's bottle of milk with some tea that she was drinking. Her daughter was a fussy baby, and she found that it enabled her to sleep for longer periods.

She went on to develop the range of ANNIQUE beauty products for women, men and babies.
